Piper Navajo PA31 – Metasensing
Installation of a giant carbon fibre belly pod housing a radar antenna array. These antennas are mounted on a stabilizing unit inside the fuselage of the aircraft, compensating motion and simulating the situation in the orbit. The integrated equipment is to be tested before its final use for satellites, on behalf of the European Space Agency.
High demands on our design and flight testing department, due to the required radar transparency of the material and the impact on the flight characteristics.
